    Magazine editor Diane Haddad always has the latest news (along with great ideas) about our Genealogy World.
  2. USGenWeb
    I never start a new U.S. search without first visiting this site. Organized by state>county.
  3. GenealogyBank
    I have cracked more than one mystery using historical newspaper articles. I love this site.
  4. Missouri Digital Heritage
    Because bunches of my family came from Missouri. Find  state resources for your family tree.
  5. Civil War Soldiers and Sailors Database
    My go-to site for any Civil War soldier research
  6. The British Library on Flickr
    Amazing photos – I’m pretty sure you’ll find something of interest here
  7. Maureen Taylor, the Photo Detective
    When I don’t know how to date a photo, I head here
  8. Boston 1775
    Even if you don’t have Revolutionary War-era ancestors, this is a great site for learning about this time period
  9. Handbook of Texas Online
    Another site that cracked open a long-sought ancestor search
  10. Emigrant Journals and Diaries
    Because I love reading period pieces
