It’s National Cherish an Antique Day – What’s Your Favorite?
I didn’t know until recently that April 9 is National Cherish an Antique Day. I have no idea who came up with the idea, but have to admit I like it.
My side of the family wasn’t much into saving heirlooms or passing down antiques. However, one of the “antiques” I’m quite fond of is this piece of pottery made by a Hopi potter. I bought it many years ago and gave it to my mom as a gift. She always loved it and displayed it in a glass-front cabinet in her living room. When she passed away, I added it to my many cherished memories of my mom.
I’d love to know what family heirloom you cherish. Leave a comment below (and thank you!)
